This is for any student who attends Crossroads Student Ministries who would like to be a part of our Student Leadership Groups. For more information, download the application or contact one of the interns or staff.

You need this form to attend any off-site church events, or to do anything where you might hurt yourself or others. (Note: we don’t recommend hurting yourself or others).

Packing List:

1. Bible
2. Sleeping bag
3. Pillow
4. Deodorant
5. 2 towels, 1-shower, 1-swimming
6. Sunscreen
7. Bug spray-Yellow Jackets

10. Clothes for 3 days, including:

Here are 3 documents that Mex team members need. All team members need to input their support lists on the Support Raising Sheet.

Second, you need to download 1 of the testimony sheets.  If you are a veteran, download the “Veteran Testimony Sheet”.  If you’re a first-timer, download the “First Timer Testimony Sheet”.  I know, it’s almost too obvious.

After you have downloaded the appropriate testimony sheet, answer the questions and use them to draft up your testimony.  You MUST have a rough draft by Sunday’s meeting.  Grace, peace, and love.

Parenting Teens Class email

Mexico 2010 is upon us!  Attached below is the application for the 2010 student trip to Mexico.  We have had a great relationship with Pastor Carlos and the community of San Luis and I’m so excited to be with them again.  Applications are due by Jan. 24 at 12:30 (after church; grades 9-12 and college age students are welcome to go.  Sorry jr. high…). Hey parents. Hope you are faring well. I wanted to put a link up here to a few podcasts I ran across on parenting.  They’re from Mars Hill Church in Seattle. I went there for a service earlier this year and really enjoyed the church. Their teaching pastor, Mark Driscoll, uses an exegetical approach to preaching.  In this series, they spent 4 months in the book of Proverbs, which they broke into the main topics that the writers of Proverbs address.

If you go to the next page (scroll to the bottom) or click here, there are 4 sermons I’d greatly encourage you to listen to.  They are entitled Celebrating Children, Instructing Children, Correcting Children, and Educating Children.

I’d also suggest that both parents listen to Women as Mothers, Women as Homebuilders, and Men as Fathers.

These messages are all about an hour, but they have so much to offer.  The speaker, Mark Driscoll, is now a father of 5 and a great speaker/leader/father.  I think the time spent listening to these sermons will pay dividends later. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

After that, you’ve got a study guide for each segment that we’ll look at in First Timothy and a great intro/background to the book and the relationship of Paul (the mentor) to Timothy (the young leader).
